Celebrate the 44th Anniversary of "The Break" with Fab 5 Freddy, Kool Herc and Google
When you search the internet using Google, chances are you don't think much about the ubiquitous Google logo. Today is different. Google has made a truly impressive Google Doodle to honor the 44th Anniversary of Hip Hop and the Invention of the break. It's both fun and educational, offering an animated tour, hosted by Fab 5 Freddy, taking you through Kool Herc's momentous use of the Break for the first time at a party in Brooklyn in 1973, and how it's changed the face of music. The doodle becomes interactive and lets you be the DJ with a virtual turntable.
We are pleased to have the Legendary Kool Herc available for selected engagements. Please submit an artist inquiry for booking requirements, endorsement opportunities, available dates and further information.
